We have all been through rituals of doing something because someone said it was good for us. We have all heard that warm water and lemon is a good alternative to coffee. Do we really know why though? We had a pouring jug in our fridge all through the summer with lemon slices and chilled water as a replacement to fruit squash. Are cows polluting the earth?

Who would have thought that so much pollution can come from farming beef for the traditional American burger industry. This video shows the extent of the damage that farming cows and the production of burgers is having on our precious environment. This is an age old debate, should organic carrots be orange or purple? As many of you may know all carrots used to be purple in colour. That was until the late 16th century when the Dutch growers are thought to of mixed the normal purple carrots with mutant yellow and white carrots. The yellow and white 'mutant' carrots were not rare at the time, just not harvested as they did not contain the anthocyanins that the purple carrots did.
